Michael Bloomberg, former mayor of New York City, leads President Donald Trump by 6 percentage points in 2020, according to a recent Morning Consult / Politico survey.
43 percent of voters would support Bloomberg if elections took place today, compared to 37 percent who would vote for Trump. Twenty-one percent of respondents said they had no idea or opinion. The billionaire is still not sure if he will participate in the race, CNBC's source said, but he is worried about what he sees in the Democrat area.
Bloomberg, however, may find it difficult to progress in primary education. Currently, he occupies the sixth place and is supported by only 4% of the Democratic primary voters. Bloomberg has with 25% the highest unfavorable rating of all democratic candidates among primary voters.
The survey was conducted among a national sample of 5,387 registered voters, including 2,225 Democratic primary voters.
