Beth and her husband, whose real name is Duane Chapman, have been dealing with a lot of emotionally charged realizations lately, and they were not shy about sharing them with fans. Beth was diagnosed with stage 2 cancer in the last fall. She underwent a serious operation, but even that could not guarantee her survival.
After a terrible battle with the disease and the risky operation, Chapman was finally declared free of cancer. She and her husband discussed the process of coping with mortality on their special dog and Beth: fight of their lives.
"When we made a promise many years ago," Hund told the people at the time that the special came out. "I said I would love her in sickness and health until death separates us, and that truth is really, really come alive in my head, and I have to stand on it, I gave her an oath that I love her forever And thank God, it is not until death separates us at this point.
