I was hunted. I could not get away. I met a bush nearby and yet I was not sure. I was almost dead I called a friend nearby to help, but I did not need to say anything. They had seen the chase and came to rescue me, pushing my pursuer away from me and letting my team win. We cheered and immediately jumped into another game. This was my experience in a recent game by Brawl Stars a free mobile game.
Brawl's Stars is the latest game from the developer of Mobile, Supercell, which is best known for their previous games Clash of Clans and Clash Royale . When Clash Royale first came out, I played it for weeks. But it quickly became more than a game. So I was very reluctant to try Brawl Stars. Fortunately, Supercell Brawl Stars has made significantly less slimy than their other games.
Let's get this out of the way now: Brawl Stars has microtransactions and loot boxes. There's no by-passing and if you do not play a game that contains these elements, I understand that. But I play a lot of mobile games and Brawl Stars feels better than most games when it comes to players to force you to spend money. I have not reached a point where I had to spend money.
Brawl Stars thankfully relinquishes timer or paywalls. You can always play no matter how many games you have played. These matches will always bring you trophies that unlock new rewards through a card-like system.
I keep coming back to Brawl Stars because it always feels fresh. It reminds me of Fortnite how often something new is available. Every day game modes and cards turn on and off. The bottom line is that I have to check something new each time I play. As well as Fortnite Brawl Stars contains a Battle Royale mode. This mode and a MOBA-inspired gem collection mode never go out of the game.
Showdown, the Battle Royale mode in Brawl Stars is easy, fast and fun. This has a few reasons. One is how small the card is. They will often meet players. The map also shrinks much faster than in games like PUBG or Fortnite . The camera angle from top to bottom allows you to see players from all angles. That means you can easily spot enemies or be spotted by other players. The mode supports 10 players and can be played alone or with a partner.
The other popular and permanent mode is Gem Grab. In this game mode, players, as the name implies, use gems. These gems appear in the middle of the map. The first team that picks 10 and holds it long enough wins.
This mode feels like a simplified MOBA. I've been reminded of Heroes of The Storm doing a great job of rationalizing some of the more difficult or boring parts of MOBAs. Gem grave is even easier. There is only one goal and one way to win: Grab 10 gems.
Although there are several maps for Gem Grab, they all contain shrubs and walls. Players, like most MOBAs, can hide in bushes and use walls as cover. (Be careful, some super attacks break through walls and destroy bushes.)
While Gem Grab and the other modes in Brawl Stars are simple, they are not boring. There is a surprising strategy when playing.
For example, collecting gems in Gem Grab is great, but also makes it a big target for the opposing team. If a player owns all of your gems, it's much easier to hide them and protect them from attacks. But it also means that you have to entrust your teammate with all of your gems of the game. However, if you spread them out, eg. For example, as one player grabs three and another player 7, it becomes more difficult to track the gems and location on the map.
The number of strategies in Brawl's Stars is perfect. The game does not support chat or even emotes. So if you do not play with friends, you have no way to communicate with the other two players in your team. Therefore, each mode is designed to be easily playable with Randoms. This also means that if you make a mistake, nobody in the chat can yell at you.
Brawl Stars controls well and feels perfect for mobile devices. Hold the device aside, move with a virtual left stick and aim with the virtual right stick. But I rarely aim. Instead, players can simply tap on the right side of the screen and automatically attack the cabinet enemy. This is perfect if you need to be followed and fired.
Deal enough damage to opposing players and you get a Super Ability. It depends on your brawler, but these supers can help save a teammate, stop an opponent, or create a shortcut for a few minutes, then put the phone back in your pocket.
