Brooklyn residents increase efforts to find missing UI students

BROOKLYN, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) – People living in Brooklyn, Iowa are working hard to find a missing student from the University of Iowa

Mollie Tibbetts, 20, was last seen in Brooklyn on Wednesday night , Friends and family say she was a dog at the time she disappeared. Poweshiek County sheriff and Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation met at Brooklyn Fire Station on Sunday to discuss the investigation, while others in the community of around 1

500 raise awareness that Mollie is still missing.

Many downtown companies have posters on their front doors that describe Mollie as 5 feet 2 inches tall with long brown hair. Most posters are produced by Live Now Designs in Brooklyn.

People volunteer to print posters and distribute them in the area.

"We are a close-knit community and I could not even imagine" I love Mollie. They are a family and we take care of each other, "said Carla Kriegel, one of the volunteers.

Kriegel also made maps with similar information about Mollie.

" My daughter will put her in a payroll, she works in a local Business and we would buy them in local restaurants, "she said.

Live Now Designs also plans to produce advertising signs, T-shirts, and billboards with Mollie's picture and information on how to contact the authorities.

The latest community search took place on Friday as the crowd wandered through the city and outskirts looking for Mollie, and the sheriff's office says it will post on social media if they need the public's help for another search. 19659012] (function (d, s, id) {
