John Dorsey on the signing of a free agent who returns Kareem Hunt:
"My relationship and interaction with Kareem since college in 2016 has been an important part of After that decision-making process, however, we did Many individuals, including clinical professionals, have performed extensive due diligence to understand a better understanding of the person they are today and the question of whether it made sense to sign it. There were two important factors: First, Kareem took full responsibility for his monstrous actions and showed genuine remorse. On the other hand, Kareem undergoes the necessary professional treatment and a well-defined plan. "" We understand and respect the complexity of questions and problems in signing a player with Kareem's story and do not tolerate his actions. Given what we know from our extensive research on Kareem, we believe that he deserves a second chance, but certainly with the understanding that he must go through crucial and essential steps to become an effective member of this organization, apart from what the NFL determines from their point of view ongoing investigation. We fully understand that Kareem is disciplined by the NFL. Here at the Browns, there is a detailed plan of expectations that he understands and has to follow because a similar incident is not tolerated. We will assist Kareem through this process and use our resources, as long as this is allowed to succeed on and off the field as long as it demonstrates the necessary commitment to represent that organization. "
Kareem Hunt on I signed a deal with the Cleveland Browns, a free agent:
" First of all, I apologize again for what I did last year. What I did was wrong and inexcusable. This is not the man I grew up with, and I learned a lot from this experience and should have been more honest about it after all. I am extremely grateful that John Dorsey, Dee and Jimmy Haslam and the organization of Cleveland Browns give me the opportunity to gain their trust and to best represent their organization in and out of the field. I am determined to take the necessary steps to learn from this situation a better and healthier person. I also understand the expectations that the Browns have made clear and that I have to earn my way back to the NFL. I am working as a person, but I am determined to use the supported support systems to become the best and healthier version of me. "
