The Bangtan Boys started on Wednesday morning with the summer concert series "Good Morning America" in 2019, and many of their fans – known as ARMY – had spent days in the rain camping to catch a glimpse of the group.  "Thank you for waiting for days (in the rain, cold, all)," said band member RM.
These feelings were confirmed by band member V, who told the crowd: "Our fans are the best, they are motivation, we love you, ARMY!"
And when the sun broke New York's rainstorm, the seven-headed band entered the stage and the park were full.

"I mean, we're all fans of (The) Beatles, of course, who are not," said RM. "We are honored to be with the biggest names in the music industry – we love the Beatles, of course."
BTS was founded in 2013 and owes its name to the Korean term Bangtan Sonyeondan, which is roughly translated to "bulletproof scouts".
In 2017, as their profile increased among English-speaking audiences, the group announced that they would shift the meaning of the acronym to "Beyond the Scene" single "Boy With Luv" with Halsey.
