BTS has the answer!
The K-Pop Boyband released their latest album [LoveLoveYourself:Answer on Friday, completed the Love Yourself trilogy and thrilled fans with 25 tracks of BTS quality. The compilation album, which focuses on the post-breakup realization to find your true self, contains seven brand new songs, alongside hits from Love Yourself: Her and remixes.
On Wednesday BTS confirmed the lead single "Idol" of the album with a stunning teaser video featuring J-Hope, RM, Jungkook, Jimin, Jin, V and Suga. The 40-second clip is an allusion to traditional Korean culture, from boys' attire and dance moves to RM's statement "Ulsoo" about a tiger, a representative symbol of Korea.
Idol joins Jin's solo track "Epiphany" on the album, as well as new songs "Trivia: Just Dance", "Trivia: Love", "Trivia: Rocker", "I'm Fine" and "Answer: Love Myself"
BTS's last album, Love Yourself: Tear wrote history as the first album by a Korean artist who reached # 1 on the Billboard 200. His lead single "Fake Love" reached # 10 on the Hot 100 chart – and it's only a matter of time before follows Love Yourself: Answer .
The release of the album comes just before the band starts their Love Yourself tour, which starts on Saturday in Seoul, South Korea. BTS will travel to North America with concert stops in Los Angeles, Oakland, Fort Worth, Hamilton, Newark, Chicago and New York before traveling to Europe and Asia to complete the world tour.
While speaking to ET in May, the band began to find "honesty and love" in their Love Yourself trilogy.
"Sometimes we just turn away from situations, because in love and in life it's not like a fairy tale, we always have a dark side, so let's talk about the dark side of love." RM said. "[It’s] somehow deep."
"My ultimate goal in my entire life is to really love myself, it's always the hardest thing, sometimes we compare ourselves with others, sometimes we get really depressed," he admitted. "But in love, we should put off the mask and be honest with who we are."
