  • Thousands of people are expected to see the life and heritage of former President George H.W. Bush in the National Cathedral in Washington, DC, on Wednesday

    President Trump declared Wednesday the National Day of Mourning as the nation remembers its 41

    st President. Bush lied in the Capitol since Monday.

    Together with the current President and First Lady, the Obamas, Carters and foreign dignitaries will be present.

  • Trump and First Lady Melania Trump Arrive

    Almost ten minutes and almost all the others sit in the cathedral with President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

    Mr. Trump exchanged heartfelt but not cordial handshakes with former President Barack Obama and Michelle Obama when he took his place. The first lady sits in between.

  • Clinton Arrives at the Cathedral

    Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and their daughter Chelsea were depicted at about 10:30 am in the cathedral. They briefly interacted with the Obama dignitaries.

    Former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are in the National Cathedral. The Obama team briefly interacted with Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen Pence.

  • Thousands visited Bush's coffin at the Capitol

    From Monday afternoon until Wednesday morning, thousands of people traveled through the Capitol rotunda to pay their respects to the former president.

    One of the worst moments came on Tuesday, when Mr. Bush's former political rival and World War II counterpart, Bob Dole, got out of his wheelchair to show his respect.

    Former political rival Bush and World War II campaigner Bob Dole stood in front of the former president on Tuesday to rise in one of the worst moments of visiting his casket.

    Long before the funeral began, guests arrived at the National Cathedral to remember the former president.

    According to the spokesman for the Bush family, the cathedral has more than 3,000 people, and they expect it to be filled up.

  • Trump tweets his respect for Bush 41

    Mr. Trump tweeted on Wednesday morning that he's looking forward to celebrating the life of the former president with the Bush family.

    Mr. Trump and First Lady Melania Trump visited Blair House for a quick visit to Bushes Tuesday, and First Lady and former First Lady Laura Bush visited the White House's Christmas decorations.

  • German Chancellor Angela Merkel visits Blair House

    German Chancellor Angela Merkel visited the Bush family early this Wednesday at Blair House. She is expected to attend the funeral.
