Health and safety officials say they are investigating two incidents at Tesla's factory in Northern California.

The New York Times reported Friday that the investigation took place after the Center for Investigative Reporting at Tesla had cataloged a series of workplace accidents.

The California Department of Occupational Safety and Health said Friday that it was investigating an unspecified incident. The agency said earlier that it was investigating an incident that caused a 30-year-old subcontractor to fracture his jaw

Tesla officials say the center misrepresented injuries that occurred outside the factory in Fremont) south from San Francisco. The automaker says the coverage was also based on unspecified inaccurate information.

Tesla said Friday that it takes all work-related accidents seriously and collaborates with the investigations.
