Police have found a young Canadian mother and daughter who were reported missing by the woman's friend after they set out on a camping trip in Northern California.
The Sheriff Ministry of San Mateo announced that Audrey Rodrigue, 29, and her 10-year-old daughter, Emily, were "in good health" and "enjoyed their California camping trip."
Rodrigue and daughter were missing on Monday after the woman's friend said he had not heard from her since Sunday
The couple arrived at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday, rented a car and spent the night in a hotel in Burlingame. Rodrigue is said to have texted her friend the next day.
The spokeswoman for the San Mateo County Sheriff, Rosemerry Blankswade, said before finding the couple that they did not suspect a foul.
Rodrigue and her daughter were last seen Tuesday at the Six Rivers National Forest Campground, about 340 miles north of San Francisco, where staff said they seemed happy and out of necessity.
Authorities said they had no firm plan for the trip and simply chose destinations when they traveled.
