Carrie Underwood announced today that "Cry Pretty," her first studio album on Capitol Records Nashville, will be released on September 14th.
The title song and the lead single of the album were released on April 11 and the singer played It was Sunday night at the Academy of Country Music Awards in their first public appearance since an injury, leaving them with a broken wrist and 40-50 Stings in her face (from which she seems quite recovered) hurt. Also in the awards, she received her 14 th ACM Award, this one song event of the year for "The Fighter", her duet with Keith Urban.
In addition to the single featuring Hillary Lindsey, Lori McKenna and Liz Rose (aka The Love Junkies), Underwood co-produced the album with writer and producer David Garcia.
Underwood says, "At this point in my career, I feel stronger and more creative than ever, I think you can hear that in this new album, it's emotional, it's soulful, it's real and we have fun too I hope everyone loves it just as much as I loved it. "
