Carrie Underwood had a special fan in the audience on her last show.
The American Idol alum took to the stage on Friday to kick off week-end festivities at the opening of the Hard Rock Atlantic City hotel and casinos – which coincidentally happened with her son Isaiah's was concert. The 3-year-old sat sweetly on his father, Mike Fisher, during the show, which the hockey star could not help but document on social media.
"Izzy's first show! He's proud of his mom!" Fisher wrote on Instagram next to a series of snapshots from the concert.
Meanwhile, Underwood shared a valuable black and white photograph of Isaiah nearby. "That was about 30 seconds before I went on stage tonight … ❤️❤️❤️ @hardrockhcac," she headlined.
While the event was the first concert of Isaiah on Friday night, he has seen his mother before. The boy cheered his father and the Nashville Predators at the team's hockey game in April, where Underwood sang the national anthem.
The 35-year-old singer could not help but be emotional about her son's reaction to her performance and sharing the sweet moment on Instagram.
"As a child, I wanted nothing more than to make my parents proud of me … and now, as a mother, I want to make my child proud … He will never really see me sing because he is in the world Bed before I go on stage, but last night he was there to watch his dad play … and he also saw his mom sing for a minute, "Underwood wrote. "Thanks, @iveychilders, for capturing that little moment … my heart is happy … ❤️."
