Basically, we've already shared everything about Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, and Google itself has – accidentally – confirmed its existence. Now, for the first time, we have a picture of some new third party cases for the phones …
It's not surprising that Google's various "Made for Google" partners are working on cases for Pixel 3a, but this is the first one what we actually saw in the flesh. These are in particular case-mate models – "Tough Clear" for Pixel 3a and "Twinkle" for Pixel 3a XL.
There is not much new to learn here. In the picture you can see that both of these cases are certified by Made for Google. However, this is not surprising since Case-Mate already does some other pixel cases. These cases also seem to confirm the Pixel 3a name of the new phone, not that we needed it.
Finally, and perhaps interestingly enough, we can confirm that the photograph of these two cases came from a retailer selling phones at Verizon but not at T-Mobile. This seems to confirm Android Police's report earlier this year that the Pixel 3a will be sold on Verizon, but does not necessarily speak to the T-Mobile site.
In other third-party case news, a recent leak leak appeared to indicate the new middle pixels in a pair of cases made by Tech21. It was not exactly clear in which cases this was, and the actual renderings of the phones were pretty inconspicuous.
A recent Google Tease indicates that we will officially see the new phones on Google for the first time. O 2019. The exact date given by Google is May 7, and it seems to be some sort of Avengers.
