A customs and border protection agent shot down a driver on Thursday trying to run down an agent at a border crossing on the US-Mexico border in Arizona.
Mexico's border guards encircled the vehicle after it gained momentum across the border, and they found two men in it, according to the Republic of Arizona. The driver had been shot in the head and a passenger had been arrested, the newspaper reported, citing Nogales International.
The condition of the driver was not immediately available.

. Border Patrol and the Nogales police officers point out that the outgoing lanes of the boarding port were closed due to an emergency but were not detailed. About an hour later, the agencies issued an update that the crossing was reopened.
