Game 1 has a pretty simple summary if you need one. Everything went well for the Celtics and nothing went really well for the Sixers. Philadelphia missed a total of 21 three-pointers, which allowed Boston to run and attack throughout the game.
For the Celtics it could not have been better to play this series with Jaylen Brown. They received a full team contribution from Terry Rozier, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford. The Celtics had a rotation of eight players and all eight players scored points. Rozier scored 29 points, Tatum 27 and Horford 26 points
This is just the second-ever Sixers loss since 1
This is going to be a long series, but Game 1 was a wonderful team performance from Boston.
Celtics 117, Sixers 101 – Final Celtics 100, Sixers 88 – 5:30 4Q
Every time the Sixers race, the Celtics respond with a mighty shot. This time it was an Al Horford three-pointer. He now has 26 points.
Celtics 87, Sixers 75 – late 3Q
The lead was as much as 17 points ahead of a quick five points by J.J. Redick with a three-pointer at Summer. It was a complete team effort by the Celtics until that point.
Celtics 79, Sixers 67 – 2:37 3Q
Boston alone has five threes in this district. If Aron Baynes and Marcus Smart take these shots, it will be a long night for Philly.
Celtics 64, Sixers 54 – 8:21 3Q
Joel Embiid Launches a CLINIC in the Third Quarter. He has six points already in the third and a total of 19.
Celtics 56, Sixers 45 – Halftime
Here's your half-time update:
The Celtics played about as well as they could have played , Jayson Tatum has 16 points, Terry Rozier has 13 and Al Horford has 12. Horford made things easier for his team-mates and Boston clicks here in the first half.
For the Sixers, they look like they have not done it in a week, and they have not. They shoot 37 percent off the field and are 1 in 14 behind the bow. They have to assume that they will eventually fire their shots.
Celtics 43, Sixers 33 – 4:23 2Q
The Celtics are on a 16-4 run, led by Al Horford. He now has up to 10 points.
Celtics 37, Sixers 33 – 6:03 2Q
Updating the mask of Joel Embiid: The bench cleanses the mask every time he runs free throws to help with fog and his ability to see. 19659022] He also has nine points and seven rebounds.
Celtics 25, Sixers 22 – End of the 1Q
And here you go.
The 1st quarter went as well as you could hope, but somehow we are only there until 3.

Awful 1st Quarter shoots basketball for the #Sixers and yet only at 3 on 25-22.

Celtics 21, Sixers 13 – 3:14 1Q
Terry Rozier is back! He already has 10 points.
Celtics 14, Sixers 10 – 4:59 1Q
This game was pretty sloppy and ugly early, which is very much in Boston's favor.
The Sixers look like a team that has not played for a week. The Celtics always look like this.

Sixers 7, Boston 6 – 8:21 1Q
Dario Saric already has four rebounds and two of them are insulting. He only averages six per game. He was early everywhere to start this game.
Terry Rozer is still mad at Eric Bledsoe.
The Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics are old pros when it comes to rivalry between the playoffs, though it's been a while since the first one was good enough to keep going. But in this semifinal of the Eastern Conference, they should do more than just give the Celtics a chance.
Game 1 of the series ends on Monday evening at 8pm. ET on TNT (live streaming via WatchTNT) from the TD Garden in Boston.
Boston is coming off a full seven-game series against the Milwaukee Bucks. They took the last trip, 112-96. Al Horford leads with 18.1 points per game during the series against the Bucks. Terry Rozier and Jaylen Brown also played pretty well but had some consistency problems in the series.

The Celtics went 3-1 in the regular season against the 76ers. Joel Embiid was the star of the only game that won Philadelphia, with 26 points, 18 rebounds and six assists. Markelle Fultz has not played in any of these games.
