Chandrayaan-2 performs another operation around Moon. Now in an orbit of 179 km x 1412 km | India news

BENGALURU: The Indian space research organization (Isro) carried out another lunar maneuver on Wednesday and put Chandrayaan-2 into a new orbit around the Moon.
"The maneuver for the Chandrayaan-2 spacecraft was successfully completed as planned with the on-board propulsion system at 9:04 am The maneuver time was 1,190 seconds, the orbit reached 179 km x 1412 km," said Isro Fügen after the successful maneuver that all spacecraft parameters are normal.

The next moon orbit maneuver is scheduled for August 30 between 18:00 and 19:00.
On August 21, Isro completed another maneuver after burning the propulsion systems on board for 1

,228 seconds. The orbit reached then 118 km × 4412 km.
TOI had previously reported that the next maneuver in lunar orbit was scheduled for August 28 between 5:30 and 6:30. Two more maneuvers will be performed on August 30th and September 1st.
On August 20, Isro Chandrayaan-2 led a 29-minute operation into an elliptical orbit of 114 km × 18,072 km around the moon. Now, after the next two maneuvers, Vikram, the lander, will be leaving the composite body orbiter, lander, and rover on September 2. It is expected to land on the lunar surface at 1:55 pm on September 7th.
