SEVERN, Md. – A manager at a Maryland Chick-Fil – A quick help when he noticed that a regular customer needed more than his usual chicken biscuit and coffee.
Daryl Howard received orders at the Severn restaurant Thursday morning when a 96-year veteran of the Second World War became known. Clerks like Mr. Lee came to the cash register and said he had a flat tire.
"He almost shivered in tears and said he could barely get into the store with three tires because one was bad," said Rudy Somoza Manager, CNN said. [Lee] could park, but had no one to help him with the tire change.
"As soon as he had finished his sentence, Daryl informed me that he had to help p this gentleman at the moment, said Somoza. "So Daryl went into action without hesitation."
Howard needed about 15 minutes to change the tire. He knew later that Somoza had taken pictures.
Somoza said he worked with Howard for about five years.
"His kind act was beautiful. Daryl has always been so helpful and deserves this recognition, "said Somoza.
Somoza said Lee returned on Friday and was very grateful.
