More than 99,000 pounds of chicken meat are recalled for reasons of contamination of the eggs.
VICS Acquisition recalls 99,975 pounds of chicken products containing eggs, an ingredient not listed on the packaging, the US Department of Agriculture Food and Drug Administration (FSIS) announced on Sunday.
The chicken was sold under the brands Happi Foodi Bloody Mary Inspired Chicken and Southeast Grocers Brand Marsala Chicken and Southeast Grocers Brand Mediterranean Herb Chicken.

Southeast Grocers is the parent company of the southern grocery chains BI-LO, Harveys and Winn-Dixie. The affected 1.5-pound brand of chicken was shipped to stores in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina and South Carolina. Southeast Grocers Brand Marsala Chicken is in use until February 8, 2020 and March 3, 2020; Mediterranean Herb Chicken Packages will be used until 7 February 2020 and 4 March 2020.
The problem was discovered on February 8 in an overview of chicken product labels. The USDA reports that there were no reports of any disease or other chicken-related side effects.
