Children have higher energy levels than adults and are in better shape than a professional athlete, says study

Kids (19659003) The team that carried out this study tested three different groups: One group consisted of twelve boys aged eight to twelve who were out of shape, twelve "inappropriate" adults and thirteen national adult adult level competitions. Each group conducted cycle tests, and to see how quickly each group recovered from the exercises, their heart rate, oxygen levels, and acidosis and lactate levels were monitored.

After all the tests had been performed, it was found that the children outperformed the "out-of-shape" adults.

Experts were not too shocked by these results, as children tend to use their aerobic metabolism, which begins to diminish with adulthood.

What does this mean for adults?

The study was actually conducted in order to find ways to integrate a healthier lifestyle for adults, as the risk of certain diseases is more likely as a person gets older. Research also suggests that the increase in disease is also related to physical inactivity.

Ratel further stated that "aerobic fitness" decreases with age, which can also mean illnesses such as diabetes. He explained that he hopes that the study's findings will help children who are not physically active gain muscle fitness as they get older.

Paul Hough, a sports and sports scientist, said that although these results are helpful, researchers should keep in mind that many diseases are not related to whether a person is physically active, but also hereditary or nutritional.

He also said that a person should focus more on trying to maintain a balance between healthy food and in shape, rather than their "response" to recover quickly from fatigue.
