US. and Chinese officials discuss a possible meeting between Presidents Donald Trump and Xi Jinping in late February, two sources told CNBC.
Trump tweeted on Thursday, the Washington meeting went well, adding, "China's agent and I are trying to make a full deal, and NOTHING remains on the table." He noted, however, that a deal would be closed first when he met Chinese President Xi Jinping.
The two countries have last cut the tariffs of each other's worth billions of dollars a year, rippling through the financial markets.
