Chinese Mars rover completes landing attempt before 2020 – Spaceflight Now

China has conducted a hover and hazard avoidance test on a model of the country's first Mars rover, while engineers provided the real spaceship for launching the red planet in mid-2020.

Consisting of an orbiter, lander and mission, the mission is to become the first Chinese spaceship to reach Mars after boarding a Long March 5 rocket – the country's most powerful launcher – during a multi-week window opening July 2020 has started.
