LOS ANGELES – Chris Brown hosted a high-end yard sale home in Los Angeles on Wednesday, with hundreds of fans, gawkers, and bargain hunters waiting for hours to get a piece of the singer's stuff.
Brown posted a flyer on his Instagram and Twitter account Tuesday night with address of his suburban villa in the Tarzana district of the San Fernando Valley.
"With clearly deposed high-end articles," it said in the flyer.
Brown tagged the posts titled "DA CRIB … 2-Day Event" and included a Heart Emoji.
People gathered for sale at his home late Tuesday. A long line snaking down the sidewalk slowly moved toward late Wednesday morning towards a driveway filled with large canvas roofs that shaded rows of dresses
The crowd appeared neat and mostly stayed on a sidewalk. The police said they had received no complaints.
Some people told broadcasters they were from Arizona and did not care what they went with as long as it belonged to Brown.
Symone Maddox of San Bernardino, California, said she had taken the day off to check the yard sale, hoping to get some hats and hoodies. "I already told my boss to bring something back," Maddox said.
"I think this is a great opportunity to personally deal with his fans," she added.
A press release said the singer plans to donate part of the proceeds to unspecified charities. It was not clear if he would perform.
