PARIS (AP) – US singer Chris Brown and two others are in custody in Paris after a woman filed a rape complaint, French officials said Tuesday.
Brown was arrested on Monday for potential charges of rape and drug abuse and remained in detention on Tuesday, a judiciary official said. Investigators have two days left to decide if they should let him go or file a lawsuit.

Brown's publicists at Sony Music would say you can not immediately comment on the complaint or say what 29-year-old Brown did in Paris.

One of Brown's bodyguards is imprisoned among the others, according to a Paris police officer.

The woman who filed the lawsuit said she had Brown and his friends in the 17th arrondissement in the northwest Met Paris on Wednesday in the 17th arrondissement, and then they all went to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel near the Concorde Plaza in central Paris, according to the official.
None of the officers were authorized to be publicly named to discuss the investigation.
