Chris Brown sues rape for slander

January 24 (UPI) – Chris Brown has filed a lawsuit against the woman who accused him of rape for defamation in Paris (France).

The American singer filed a false accusation on Thursday at the Paris prosecutor's office, the people reported.

"The facts are completely questioned by Mr. Brown and are not enough to be prosecuted," Brown's Paris lawyer Raphael Chince told CNN.

Brown, 29, was arrested earlier this week. Paris police custody was arrested along with two other men after Brown raped a woman in mid-January. He was also questioned about possible drug-related injuries.

Brown was later released without charge that day. The investigation is still ongoing.

"No complaints were filed against him," Chince said in a statement people received after Brown's release. "He is vigorously opposing the lawsuit against him, a libel denunciation complaint is being filed with the prosecutor of Pairs, charges against Chris Brown have not been dropped, and the investigation is still ongoing, but Chris Brown has not been sued by the prosecution."

Following his release, the singer went to Instagram to proclaim his innocence and described the charges against him as "disrespectful."

"I want to make it very clear," he wrote in an Instagram post in all major cities was canceled, "that's wrong."

Brown was previously arrested, most recently in July for an outstanding arrest warrant for a battery in July. He was released on a $ 2,000 bond.

The singer was also arrested at his home in Los Angeles in 201

6 for a deadly weapon attack. In 2013, he was charged with abuse in Washington, DC. And Brown was sentenced in 2009 mainly for misdemeanor on his then girlfriend Rihanna (19659011).
