Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie made several shots at the White House Senior consultant Jared Kushner in his new book " Let Me Finish," which claims that Donald Trump's son-in-law co-ordinated his dismissal from the presidential transition team shortly after the 2016 elections in an ugly act.
He Kushner claims that Kushner is still "seething" of events that occurred more than a decade earlier – when Christie, as US attorney Kushner's father, convicted Charles of tax evasion, witness manipulation, and illegal campaign contributions, and put the older Kushner in jail 14 months.
The former governor did not say anything during the Tuesday's case review:
"Mr. Kushner pleaded guilty, he admitted the crimes, what should I do as a prosecutor?", Christie asked. If a man hires a prostitute to seduce his brother-in-law and take video footage of it, and then send the video to his sister to stop her from testifying before a grand jury, do I really need more justification than that?
He added, "It's one of the most disgusting, disgusting crimes I've prosecuted as a US lawyer," Christie said during a section on PBS's "Firing Line With Margaret Hoover." "And I was a US lawyer in New Jersey, Margaret – we had a nasty and disgusting crime there."
Charles Kushner, a wealthy and well-connected real estate developer, pleaded guilty to filing 16 false tax returns in 2004 He was sentenced to 24 months in prison and was 14 years old.
Christie wrote in a press release that Kushner's guilty plea was a "great victory for the people of New Jersey."
Anyone who is powerful will be held accountable by this office for criminal activity, "he wrote.
Christie now writes that Jared Kushner refused to attend after the 2016 elections by calling Stephen K. Bannon, the White House and a spokesman for Jared Kushner did not immediately respond to a request for comment
"Jared Kushner, still apparently cooking from events that took place a decade ago, demanded revenge against me, a hit that made no sense to the man we helped with in the election, "Christie wrote in" Let be ready. "And Steve Bannon, the hot campaign boss of the Big Balls campaign, was quiet about it. "
He continued," What switches, what cowards. And how disloyal Donald Trump. Josh Dawsey contributed to this report.
