The Cincinnati Reds will continue their series of fifteen throwback uniforms during the 2019 season, joining the home side Westlev team in their 1961 championship season this afternoon against the St. Louis Cardinals The uniforms are worn on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the first professional baseball team, the Cincinnati Red Stockings of 1
Red Pinstripes from head to toe added white blue vests to their home vest The team uniform and logo, the blue, was used as the background and frame around the wishbone loose "C" logo on the upper left chest, as well Logo on the cap.
In memory of Red's owner Powel Crosley, Jr., the Reds added a black memory strip around the left armhole of each jersey. Crosley had owned the team from the 1934 season, the club was called shortly after buying Redland Field, her home stadium in his honor. Crosley owned the reds until his death in March 1961, just days before the start of the season.
