Rafael Nadal's hunt for a 36th ATP Masters 1000 title has to wait. The Spaniard retired from the Western & Southern Open on Sunday and referred to fatigue after winning his 35th Masters 1
Nadal beat the Russians Daniil Medvedev with 6: 3 and 6: 0 more history at the Canadian Masters 1000. It was the fifth time (2005, 2008, 2013, 2018) that the number 2 in the world won the trophy in Canada hoisted.

The 33-year-old leads the ATP Tour 41 (41-6) this season, finishing first at the ATP Race To London, an indicator that will end the year-end No. 1. Nadal has three Touring titles this year (Rome, Roland Garros). Next he will compete in the fourth and final Grand Slam of the season, the US Open, which begins on August 26th.
