According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, the Cleveland Indians have acquired right-handed Hunter Wood and infielder Christian Arroyo of the Tampa Bay Rays in return for outfielder Ruben Cardenas and international signing money.

Wood, 25, advertises 298 innings in 1919 with 2.48 ERA in 2019, but with a FIP of 4.19 and an xFIP of 5.10 -seamer, with an average spin of 2480 rpm, 35th bound in basal. He also has a cutter / slider, a changeup and a curve.
The 24-year-old Arroyo has dropped 251 career appearances over three years with Tampa and the San Francisco Giants .215 / .280 / .342. Once he was the Giants' top prospect and was originally acquired by Tampa as part of the deal that sent Evan Longoria west in 2017.
Since his appointment in 2017, Arroyo has played most of his time on the third base (367) innings), but has also appeared on the second base (85) and shortstop (82 2/3).
The provider has been on the disabled list since June 13 with tendinitis of the right forearm.
