CNN's unwavering Jim Acosta asked a question to President Donald Trump in a speech calling for a vile "shush" from a spectator six months after signing the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act on Friday.
"Mr. President, stop calling the press the enemy of the people," CNN correspondent in the White House said, putting his hands over his mouth to voice his voice from the back of the room carry.
He repeated the questions several times. Some observers told him to shoot a scornful look. A man publicly reprimanded him – to no avail.
Acosta finally gave up after realizing that the efforts were fruitless.
The performance was classic Acosta, who emerged as one of the main opponents of the President. During Trump's Singapore summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, Acosta was able to raise unaddressed questions with both leaders of the world.
He also spreads regularly with White House spokeswoman Sarah Sanders in the meeting room. Team Trump has hit back just as hard, with the president himself dismissing Acosta and his network as "fake news".
