Coca-Cola announced Thursday that it has appointed company veteran Brian Smith as its next chief operating officer, and has occupied a post that has been vacant since James Quincey took office last year
The company also said Kathy Waller, Chief Financial Officer, will retire at the end of the year after serving 32 years. John Murphy, president of Cokes Asia Pacific Unit, will replace them.
Coke shares were last on Thursday slightly declined. The share fell by around 1 percent last year.
In addition to these appointments, Coke also attacked Nancy Quan as Chief Technical Officer effective January 1, 2019. Quan replaces Ed Hays, who will retire at the end of March. The duties of Chief Information Officer Barry Simpson will be expanded early next year, the company said.
