New research has shown that one or three cups of coffee can help you lose weight. A new study published in Scientific Reports on Monday morning revealed that coffee can stimulate "brown fat" – the fat in your body that keeps you warm by burning calories.
Dr. means for our understanding of the metabolism.
What is "brown fat"?
Brown fat (BAT) or "brown fat" (also known as "good fat") can produce heat and macronutrients (ie high-glucose foods such as honey and sugar) metabolize dried fruits) by burning calories. Meanwhile, white adipose tissue (WAT) or "white fat" stores calories that have not been burned.
"Normal fat stores energy, and brown fat contains many mitochondria and iron (which is why it's brown), and its purpose is to create heat," Dr. Agus. "It basically changes the metabolism and actually the cholesterol or fat profile in your blood."
"We only knew 1
The study shows that a cup of coffee or caffeine can actually stimulate brown fat to produce heat." We all have that warm feeling after drinking a cup of coffee because we stimulate that brown fat, "he said. It is important and interesting that we actually know the mechanism now.
"The goal is to stimulate brown fat, exercise stimulates brown fat, good sleep stimulates brown fat, and now we know that caffeine or coffee can do the same."
What good thing?
"First, up to three cups a day may have health benefits, [with] no disadvantage," Dr. Agus. More is not better.
"What I also want to push is that after 1pm or 2pm there's no coffee left. The half-life of caffeine is six hours. If you have a 1:00 [cup]it will be only half as high until 7:00 in the night. Even when you sleep, it's not a deep, restful sleep with caffeine on board.
