After landing "Jurassic World" on Jurassic World, Colin Trevorrow returns to the third picture in the series he currently has along with Emily Carmichael writes.
Entertainment Weekly broke the director's news on Friday with a statement by Steven Spielberg, who is currently on the press circuit for "Ready Player One."
"Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" does not bow before this June, but Universal and Spielberg are already moving fast to start the third film, which dates for June 1
"It is important for this franchise that we welcome new creative voices to keep our storytelling fresh and alive," said Trevorrow's statement to EW. "I'm thrilled with the suspense and beauty of JA Falling Kingdom, and I know that Emily will add another emotional level to the final chapter of our trilogy."
Spielberg and Trevorrow return to Executive Pictures and Amblin Entertainment's latest installment Franchise back. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley return as producers.
The first two films were Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt. The 2015 Jurassic World was a monster hit and brought in $ 1.6 billion in global box office.
Trevorrow is pressured by Verve.
