Colorado got nearly 2 feet of snow on the first summer day

Immediately west of Denver, over 7,000 feet of snow began to fall on Friday at altitudes. According to CNN meteorologist Gene Norman, snow has also been reported in parts of Montana.

A winter weather alert is valid until Sunday morning for the snow to stop. And, Norman said, even for the area, snowfall is rare here. The last time it came so late was on June 17, 1928, when Steamboat Springs reached nearly 20 inches, the subsidiary KCNC reported in Denver.

But nobody seems to complain on Twitter.

"Snow in Breckenridge, Colorado!" Jennifer Thompson tweeted.

"Only in Colorado does it snow on the first day of summer," wrote one man.

"Good morning, it's the 22nd of June and we just have snow in Colorado," wrote another. 1

9659004] Singer Kelly Clarkson enjoyed it, she tweeted.

"Yes, that's snow in my hand, snowball fights in June, I love Colorado!" According to Norman, 6 is the average last day of snowfall in a typical season. This strange snowfall is partly due to the fact that the atmosphere is warmer and wetter than before. Near the ground, it is too warm to bear snow, but in mountainous areas there is no such problem.

In Florida, the National Weather Service issued a Heat Notice for Saturday. The temperatures approached the upper 90s and the heat indices are according to CNN subsidiary WINK up to 108 degrees.

We will certainly have a snowball fight.
