A woman's social media post about a McDonald's who slept in the restaurant recently became viral – just not for the reason she expected.
The image, which was taken at a McDonald's in Fayette County, Georgia, was originally intended to embarrass the McDonald's place where no action is taken against the employee's behavior. After the photo was uploaded to Facebook, it turned out that the man was homeless and was just resting between shifts.
Simon Childs was initially injured when he found out that his photo was shared, WSB 2 reports. The 21-year-old father told the branch that he had had a hard time since his mother's death.
"It kinda hurt to see my picture up there," he said. "I thought it was a negative and nobody would care. "

But while the photo resonated well, everything worked out in favor of Childs, as some of the local residents who had learned of Childs' story decided to help CBS 2 you attended for donations of diapers, provisions and clothing for his son, people even donated hotel rooms and a local restaurateur lent Childs a car.
"You've changed my life in a few days," Childs told WSB 2.
