BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) – The Kentucky Artisan Center in Berea has issued a statement after an employee at the center's Café and Grill was tested for hepatitis A.

According to the Center Management, they felt ill on Tuesday and were sent home. The clerk went to the doctor and was tested for hepatitis A. The test came back positive on Friday. The employee had not returned to work since he began to feel sick.

The center says that it has contacted and worked with the Kentucky Department of Public Health and has followed CDC guidelines to disinfect food facilities can not demand that its employees be vaccinated against the virus but say 6 out of 8 employees reported vaccination.
