The Cumberland Perry Community Support Program (CPCSP) will host its "Mental Health Awareness Walk" and Rally 2018 on May 1, at 10:00 am at Letort Park, 260 E. Pomfret St., Carlisle. to awaken the national mental health awareness month. The annual event provides an opportunity for the community to unite to promote mental health awareness. This year's theme, "Stop … Pain Ends," encourages those who have a mental illness to never give up.
Mental illness can affect anyone at any time and for any reason. The CPCSP encourages the community to promote recovery and change the stigma that is often associated with a mental illness. Recovery can and does happen. With education and conversation, the community can become healthier and stronger.
The hike ends at 1
