Cyberpunk 2077 frees you in a seemingly unbelievably open world, known as Night City, which plays in a futuristic dystopian Northern California. High concrete buildings and neon lights are just some of the elements that make up Night City. Active shops and dense crowds create a dense atmosphere in which one feels comfortable. And in the 48-minute gameplay footage, you'll learn what it's like to roam the sweeping Night City in Cyberpunk 2077.
The demo takes place in the Watson District in Night City, where NPCs walk around and conduct their own independent talks. You can take on tasks in the city and deal with the things that happen around you, but the world will also respond to you, sometimes in a subtle way. In a minor example, an advertisement display specifically targets V, the player character, who then places a mark where the product is to be found.
In terms of Open World traversal, the developer is stated during the demo The goal of CD Projekt Red is to seamlessly explore Night City without an explicit loading screen or loading times. There will also be an active day-night cycle during the game.
This is the first public release of the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay, and you can watch the entire demo here on GameSpot. Although there is no release date, let alone a release window, the game is confirmed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
