Prior to the release of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt studio boss Adam Badowski made conflicting statements about whether CD Project Red intended to develop a reasonable sequel. In the four years since The Witcher 3 was released, the company was equally shy about whether fans can play Geralt of Rivia in another adventure. Now, however, it seems that the financial realities of reliance on a single major release to maintain the financial health of the studio would have forced CD Project to set the course Cyberpunk franchise is being offered at the same time to reduce the finances to improve the big releases. Conclusion: As soon as Cyberpunk 2077 comes out next year, the fans do not have to wait another four to five years to play a new game from the studio.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 16, 2020. It will likely take a few years for fans to return to the world of The Witcher in a new adventure. By then, the excellent Wild Hunt will reach the Nintendo Switch this fall.
