A fun-loving father saw the perfect opportunity for a prank just as his future son-in-law asked for his daughter's hand.
Allison Barron and Levi Bliss have been together for two years and have developed a strong connection since meeting as students at the University of Nevada, Reno. Allison says it was not long before the couple realized they had something special about their hands.
"When Levi and I had an appointment, it was not long before he knew he was the right person for me." Allison, 22, tells the man. "Everything was so easy with him, I've always heard that you only knew, but I never knew if I completely believed it, I really knew it with Levi."
All that was left was, officially close.
In the morning On March 24, Levi told an unsuspecting Allison that they would take a short break to meet with their parents to meet for breakfast. So they hopped into their car and drove off, and then Levi looked over at his girlfriend and asked her to marry him.
"I immediately started crying, overwhelmed with joy, getting out of the truck and it dropped to one knee," Allison recalls, living in Winnemucca, Nevada. "You always imagine that moment, and now it happened to me."
Then, driving near a spot where both families hid on the other side of a nearby hill, Levi waited for the big moment. Just as Levi finished his romantic gesture in front of a beautiful backdrop, Allison's father, Jake, held up a sign written in capital letters: "SAY NO."
Although Levi Jake asked permission for his daughter's hand in marriage, the 23-year-old had no idea that his future father-in-law would pull off the well-timed joke.
"It was a funny surprise for both of us, my dad joked with the sign, and he really likes Levi!" Says Allison, adding that Levi and her dad have banded together over the years. "It's really just his personality, he always makes weird little comments and 'daddy jokes here and there!"
Later that day, Allison published pictures of the proposal – and the sign – of her Sister Ashlee Barron were made on Twitter. Her tweet quickly became viral, collecting 225,000 likes and 66,000 retweets. It was not long before the funny photos became a meme.

Luckily, Allison makes it all fun
"I can not believe it blew that up! "She says about the response in social media. "When I saw some of the first memes, I called my father and he did not believe me, I think it's funny, I keep seeing the pictures and my dad shows up everywhere!"
Allison says she and Levi are hoping to schedule the wedding soon, and will likely hold the ceremony this fall at a venue in Lamoille, Nevada ,
"When Levi came, my family welcomed him, we all have a great relationship and we do a lot together," says Allison. "We are looking forward to this next step in our lives."
