A suggestion is a moment that will be remembered for sure ̵
Allison Barron was completely surprised when her friend Levi Bliss suggested that, but both were stunned by the joke Barron's father had up his sleeve.
The couple wanted to take their dog for their daily walk on March 24 in the Winnemucca, Nevada, desert when Barron saw large letters on the floor and said, "Marry Me?" – a romantic proposal staged by Bliss.
After Barron happily said yes, the couple was greeted by relatives who hid and held fast to the moment. One family member in the crowd, however, stood out from the others.
On top of a hill stood Barron's father, Jake, holding a white sign with black letters saying, "Say no."
Do not worry though. Barron said it was fun.
"Levi and I immediately started laughing," she said, adding that Bliss asked her father for permission to marry her in advance and even help prepare the proposal. She said her father's prank was just a joke.
"My dad joked with the sign and really likes Levi," Barron said.
"It's really just his personality."
