Last week we learned that Donald Trump appeared on the first [Forums 400 list in 1982. The Trevor Noah by Trevor Noah (19459004) is all that you need to know about the current president.
"Trump is lying, it's his nature," Noah said. "It's like crazy after the Pillsbury Doughboy that he does not have a tail: it was not his choice, he just rolls that way."
But the Forbes story, he added, is Trump's "provenance lie," the "bullshit foundation" of his entire "bullshit career." Back when he was just a young real estate developer, Trump allegedly pretended that his father's fortune was his own, to be on the list of the richest people in the country.
"Well, Trump Lies Forbes could easily be seen as someone trying to boost his ego," the host said. "But it turns out that Trump's lie got him much more than just a flattering press."
Noah described the revelation as "overwhelming" because of the way it influenced the rest of the president's life. "Trump lied to get on the Forbes list," he said. "Then the Forbes list cemented him as a mogul and then he used his mogul status to get into the White House."
"If I were a Trump supporter, that revelation would shake me" Noah added. "Because it turns out that his entire lineage was wrong." They voted for a "rich man who was always successful, not some trickster who lied his way on the Forbes list."
Get in the head of these Trump voters, Noah said, "If I find he's not racist, I'll be so angry."
