All-star Damian Lillard returned to the Portland Trail Blazers on Friday night after calling a day full of ups and downs. On Thursday his first son was born and then his half-brother was shot dead in an incident in Portland.
Lillard said his brother Jahrell had been shot five times and in a stable condition, "he's fine."
"My # 1 concern is his health and well-being," Lillard told Friday night's game against the LA Clippers. "At the moment he is stable and doing well, in such a situation you can not ask for more, you have to let the authorities do their job."

"I think the ups and downs, my son is coming out and holding him, then dealing with a tragedy in the middle of it was unfortunate," Lillard said:
Lillard flew after defeating the pelicans on Tuesday night home from New Orleans and missed Wednesday's defeat to the Grizzlies in Memphis.
He said he watched the Wednesday's game from the hospital. His son, Damian Houston Lillard, was born on Thursday morning.
"It was long," he said. "It was like 46 hours of work, ended up as a C-section, he made it safe, healthy, big boy, yesterday I had a great start to the day."
Lillard said that he had many shoulders Now that the baby was born, adding that his son looks like him.
Year Lillard, 20, was shot dead during a confrontation with two men at a mall parking lot. The authorities said he had evaded the men by running into a department store, and then the emergency services were called.
Sgt. Nate Thompson says that callers heard 5-10 shots on Thursday night and saw two men running from the parking lot of the Clackamas Town Center. He says several rounds hit Lillard and several vehicles were damaged.
Although details of the case are still developing, Thompson says that investigators believe Lillard may have been the victim of a targeted attack. There were no arrests.
