Daniel Cormier, a good friend of Cain Velasquez, has joined the former UFC star who retired from the sport to move to WWE.
Velasquez's former UFC heavyweight champion and AKA training partner made a statement to MMA Fighting about the change for Velasquez.
"It's a sad day when Cain Velasquez is retiring, but I know he's doing something he loves," said Cormier, "I remember him in the Elimination Chamber [19459008I'mnotsureheevercameupwithanythingfasterthanwhenhemet[his wife] Michelle
"I'm very happy for Cain and Michelle and But the biggest winner in this whole business is the WWE Universe, you will watch Cain perform, and I look forward to the program between him and Brock. Congratulations to my brother, exciting times. "
Friday announced that Velasquez had signed a deal with WWE and informed the UFC of his resignation.
Velasquez will crown WWE champion Brock Lesnar on Thursday, October 31
