Google has released an update for the Android Phone App. This app covers everything that has to do with making or receiving a call. And with Google's material design full of white spaces that can dazzle a user in the dark (especially when someone calls), Google plans to add a dark mode option to the app. You do not have to take our word for it. The change list for the update reads: "The phone app has a new, new look, and soon – darker mode."
For those who are not familiar with the concept, instead of a user interface with black text on a white background, darker mode has white text on a black background. The idea is that in normal light conditions or at night, the normal white background could strain your eyes and make it difficult for you (and those nearby) to see. Part of the update to the app that some users may not appreciate is a change to the color scheme on the Favorites page. The colors are now pastel colors that a user compares to the coloring of an easter egg.
