LONDON – A British police has received thousands of comedy reactions after posting a picture of a security camera showing a man with a strong "Friends" character. Ross Geller stole beer from a restaurant.
The police in Blackpool, northern England, shared Tuesday the photo of the man on which David Schwimmer lies like a box of beer.
Blackpool Police shared the image on their Facebook page and was flooded with comedy responses inspired by some of the iconic 1
"It was not his day, his week, his month or even his beer …" joked one contributor.
"How did he record that unnoticed?" Tommy Dunsmuir asked. "Was someone in a break?"
The police department seemed to enjoy the jokes of Facebook users and took the time to clear the actor's name. "Thank you all for your quick answers," they said. "We thoroughly investigated this matter and confirmed that David Schwimmer was in America at the time."
"We are so sorry it has to be this way."
Over 100,000 users have joined in, some of whom refer to the series's iconic title song.
Also the police forces in Scotland took part in it. Police in Dumfries and Galloway shared the Facebook post and warned members of the public to stay away.
"He is known for having studied karate and we believe he is the art of Unagi, the state of total awareness, "they said, referring to an episode of Season 6, in which Ross Unagi (a Japanese eel) confused with Zanshin (a term used in Japanese martial arts).
