The Merc with a mouth wants to do justice again at the box office.
"Deadpool 2", the sequel to Ryan Reynolds, is on track to open a massive $ 150 million in North America this summer, suggesting early tracking. The superhero movie does not bow to the movie before May 18th, but that number is already ahead of the original movie, which opened in February 2016 with $ 132 million domestically. It was endowed with $ 783 million worldwide, making it the highest R-R film ever.
20th Century Fox's film follows another heroic powerhouse, "Avengers: Infinity War" On its way to a record-breaking debut on April 27, the company plans to bring $ 225 million to $ 245 million, possibly even exceed the $ 250 million mark. If numbers reach the end of this range, Infinity War could be one of the biggest openings of all time.
"Deadpool 2" follows the title hero and his team of mutants, collectively known as X-Force, protect a boy from the rogue cable (Josh Brolin). David Leitch directed a screenplay by Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick and Reynolds. Zazie Beetz, T.J. Müller. Brianna Hildebrand, Morena Baccarin, Leslie Uggams, Stefan Kapicic and Rob Delaney complete the cast.
Estimates follow 20th Century Fox's CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas, where the studio previews its upcoming slate.
