Deaths related to e-cigarettes reported in Tulare County



FRESNO, California (KFSN) – A person has died following complications related to the consumption of e-cigarettes in Tulare County, a Tulare County health care official confirmed on Monday afternoon.

Karen Haught, a Tulare County resident suspected of being linked to a serious lung injury related to Vaping, died.

Three lung related illnesses related to vaping have occurred in Tulare County as well as in several nationwide cases.

Haught said the county health department is warning residents against the potential health risks associated with vaping.

The department said that symptoms of the disease are breathlessness, cough, chest pain, fever, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

Governor Gavin Newsom said Monday that the state would spend $ 20 million on conscious money campaigns on the dangers of steaming.
