The crowd at the first democratic presidential debate in Wednesday's Wednesday night broke out in laughter when the microphones of some ABC presenters stayed on while they were backstage.

"We are when the control room could turn off the microphones of our previous presenters," Todd said, laughing.
After explaining the problem, the entire arena, including the contestants, burst into laughter.
"We have prepared everything, we have not prepared for it," Maddow intervened before the debate became a commercial break while the technical problem was resolved.

The problem was quickly resolved and the debate continued, but social media users jumped quickly to the flaw, which represented a lighter moment in the midst of heated political discussions.
