Although Dennis Shields had a renewed love affair with Bethenny Frankel, he and his wife Jill remained very close.
The deceased banker's 26-year-old wife mourned his death on Instagram on Saturday and released her children's emotional message about her relationship with Remack photos. Dennis was found dead Friday by a suspected overdose in his Trump Tower apartment, according to New York Post and TMZ. He was 51 years old.
"To the love of my life – Dennis – I will miss you every day Forever your legacy will continue to live in our children and our future grandchildren," wrote Jill.

"Although we did not live together, you still remained my best friend and husband, and not many people could understand our situation, but it worked for us," Jill said on her Saturday post.

"We talked every day, I'll miss that! I love you, my dear husband, I hope you run around in heaven Play basketball and tennis without back pain, see you again in forty years xo, "she said.
"Forever daddy's little girls, we love you so much," Jill quoted in her follow-up post a collage of four old photos of Dennis and his children.

Dennis and Bethenny first met about 28 years ago when he was dating (and later getting married) Jill, one of her school friends. Although Bethenny and Jill did not stay in touch ("We've spoken three times in 25 years," she previously told People), she and Shields shared other mutual friends and began meeting a few months after leaving his wife.
In a statement to the people on Friday, Jill Dennis called love their lives.
"We are all heartbroken, Dennis was and always will be the love of my life, his spirit lives on in our children, please respect the privacy of our family at this time," she said.
