DENVER (CBS4) – Denver health officials announced Sunday afternoon that they have a patient in isolation who could possibly have Ebola
They say that the patient is in fair condition and that Ebola is considered a potential but unlikely diagnosis.
Emergency teams were seen in dangerous goods. how suits enter the building on Sunday afternoon. The hospital works as usual and officials say there is no threat to the public, including patients and staff.
"After an initial review of the situation and the symptoms presented by the patient, it is unlikely that this confirmed as an Ebola case, "said Connie Price, an infectious disease doctor and Denver Health's chief medical officer.
Denver Health works with several government agencies, including the State Department of Health. Denver Health is one of 10 regional facilities designated by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the treatment of patients with Ebola.
